Hello, I am a 20 year old male needing some advice.
I have had a bump on the back of my head for about 3 yrs now, it seems to swell, itch and when pressed lightly hurts with a burning sensation, random episodes of this on and off. It is always the same spot
I can feel the bump which is hard to the touch it feels like it sits on top of my skull just under the skin.
Is this something I should be worried about or not.
any info would be great, thanks.
i am also stubborn about seeing doc

Hello

It can be many things, including a small pocket of infection. But this sounds like it should be checked by a physician. There is not other way of knowing what it is.

Sometimes an abscess just comes, no specific cause. But I think you should seek medical attention.
