The dr wants to discuss Radiation.

The RP was brutal, I was laid up for 8 weeks.
20 hours a day in bed.
with a blood clot the size of a soft ball, and a collection
of lymph fluid about the size of a golf ball.

Is radiation as bad? How bad are the side effects?
what is quality of life expectancy?

Hi Frank,

It's been several months since you made this post. You have probably made a decision about your treatment.

I opted for radiation in 2000. After the EBRT I had seed implant. I had no problems with either. I had about 25 days of radiation but treatments only took about 10 minutes each day. It has been necessary for me to go on ADT, hormone therapy on 2 seperate occassions since my EBRT. PSA has risen up to 23.91 at the highest. I am now using Prostosol and it has brought it down to 3.980 Very Happy in less than 2 weeks of its use. My Dr. did not put me on this but learned about it from a friend. My doctor wanted me to start back on ADT but I have chosen to stay on my vegan diet, which I started in June 2006, and the Prostosol. I pray you are doing OK, Frank.

Best Wishes and Prayers,

Charlie
