New Here/Very Worried

Hi, I've been having large lymph nodes in my neck for some time, and just havent been feeling all that great, my family doc. questioned whether or not I've ever had a bone marrow biopsy done of course I have not, I've been under the care of a rheumatologist because I do have immune disorders, but a lot of my blood work is coming back very abnormal not just related to my immune problems but starting to show other areas of concern. My family doc. is concerned about some and I'll mention them and now it has me very worried my white counts are always low, but here goes with the questionable ones lymph% is very low the cut-off point is 24.0 mine is 17.7 and has gone as low as 13, the lymph number is also very low the cut-off point is 1100 mine is 800, this is the third time now that these blood tests have been drawn on me and have been low and at times lower then these numbers. He has suggested a bone-marrow biopsy but he wants me to talk to my rheumy to see what he thinks. Are these tests significant for a problem? I've already had 2 years ago a CT-scan of my lymph nodes and they were enlarged but my doc. back then said to have the scan repeated to keep an eye on it because it could change. I've also had changes on an MRI of my thoracic spine of which too I've been told to keep an eye on it and have repeated scans done because the specialist I went to said that even tho for now it reads benign that it could change to something malignant.
As you can see I'm worried about all of this. Can you please help.

Hi Karen, I am very sorry about your current health concerns. I do not know what could be causing your abnormal blood test results. Certainly it could be one of several forms of cancers but it could also be something else. A bone marrow biopsy does sound like an appropriate next step. Hopefully, it will not show anything because that means your marrow is producing enough lymphocytes. Something else is just killing them faster than your bones can produce them. That still leaves you in the dark about what is causing your abnormal blood test results.

From there, your medical team might wsnt to biopsy that swollen node. Having a compromised immune system does make you more susceptible to infections. Hopefully, that is all you have.
