If any of you remember me, I'm Keith Merritt, and my wife Gaye fought PC for a year. She died Thursday night, Dec. 6, at 10:10 P.M. at the local hospice house. She was diagnosed in February of this year. We had a difficult struggle all year as many of you have. In the end, the cancer decimated her body, but she died peacefully, in comfort, and with her family. I ask each of you, no matter what your stage or problem, to rejoice in the suffering because it will be there that you find Christ and your loved one, acceptance. Gayle died so faithfully, so happily. PC is a monster for sure. It ruined her body, but could never, ever put a dent in her spirit, smile, or joy for each day. Me and my three children stayed in the room with her for 30 minutes after she died until the coroner and funeral home came. Gayle was still warm to the touch and had the faint scent of roses. I hope each of you have faith in God. Only with faith will you find peace and know you will meet again in perfection.

Keith, am am very sorry about Gayle's death but I am glad the you and your children with her. If there can be such a thing, it does sound like her death was a beautiful experience for her and for you.
I will be thinking about and praying for you and your family as you try to adjust to your new lives without Gayle. _________________ Jim

Keith --
Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your Gaye.
Many of us read your story and hoped that she would be one of those spared. Not to be.
May you find peace as you and your family go through the next grievous months without her. Time and faith bring comfort.

Keith -- I am so sorry for your loss. May you find peace in the memories of your wonderful wife and know that she lives on in your children and grand-children.
Kurt Passed away on October 27 and was alone with him. I felt an over whelming peace and the presence of God in the room. I would not have missed his last hours for anything. It has given me the strength to go forward, knowing that he is in the arms of God with no pain and as you stated he and I will meet again.
My God bless you and be with you in your time of need. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

| From running to get her the one food that sounded "Good" to her, to having a butterfly garden installed, your love came through in your posts. I hope you find solace in the things you were able to share with Gayle. We grieve with you. Reenie |
