A new study by the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio looked at how prevalent prostate cancer is in men with normal rectal exams and PSA at or below 4.0 ng/mL, who had a family history.

25% was the answer. Those guys DID have PSAs that were on average higher than guys without prostate cancer in the study, though.

The authors recommend lowering the PSA cutoff values in men with family histories of PCa.

I do not have Prostate Cancer and I do not have any family members who have ever had it (on either side of my family for a far back as I can tell) so I will not vote. Nevertheless, this is an interesting study and I appreciate the pole.
