Hi everyone. We have a very big problem with "members" who join the forum, do not post any messages to the board, but who do send messages via the Private Message system. Often, they only send a link.

In order to try to get control of these sorts of activities, I ask you to use this forum to post username and other information about "members" who engage in this type of activity. I believe this will help by:

Arrow Embarrassing the H*** out of these "members"
Arrow Let all members know who to watch out for
Arrow Let all the administrators know the username of these "members"

Probably the last of these is the most important. Sending me emails about them is OK but I am not the only administrator who can deal with these people. Inica (In) and other administrators can also delete members.

You need to post at least the username. That is really the only information we need. However, you can also post the date you received the PM and state other details. Please, do not post the actual link.

Thank you for your help.

Let me clarify something: Use your best judgement when reporting a spammer. So far, I have not had anyone complain and no one has reported anyone that was not a spammer. However, I would hate to delete an other wise legitimate member. Here are some clues:

Arrow People who send you only a link (no message)
Arrow People who send you unsolicited and unwanted PMs that are obvious ads. If in doubt, do not open the link... send it with the username for me to check.
Arrow People who send obvious links to porn sights.
Arrow People who fill your PM window with similar links.

Even with these guidelines, it is possible for you to make a mistake about someone. Do not worry. Just send me the information and I will do the checking for you.

Let us keep this community safe and healthy.

One other thing... do not post the link that they spammed you with. That is like forwarding their spam to others Laughing. All we need is their username. Thanks.
