Hello there,
This is my first time posting. I have a best friend who is 42 that found out on January 3rd that she has colorectal cancer. We just went thru surgery on the 16th to remove the tumor. Pathology report came back today and we're at stage III. The cancer was found in 12 of the 24 lymph nodes that were taken during surgery. The doctor told us that it is aggressive and that she would need aggressive chemotherapy. I'm scared for her and I don't know what to do next. I feel so uneducated when it comes to this. I've been trying to read everything that I can find to help me be a better friend and caregiver as she goes thru her treatment. I don't know what to expect. Any advise or guidance will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Tamara |

Hi Tamara
I'm so sorry to read about your friend's cancer diagnosis. I hope our community here can help you support your friend in every way through her treatment.
I'm not familiar with colorectal cancer, but may I suggest you post your friend's story on the appropriate "cancer" thread on the forum so you receive the information you need.
Thinking of you.
Cheers, Aussie Angie. _________________ Brother diagnosed with GBMIV Feb 07
