Thank you ,They are setting up tests .I already had a chest xray, but soon to have a bone scan and probably organ scans and then chemo after all that. The surgeon didn't think radiation was not required since I choose the mastectomy. But one question I had is how long should these doctors take setting things up since it's my body on a time clock? _________________ - Age of diagnosis: 56 (current age)

Hi, Ann - they will not hang about even if it feels like that to you. Also, cancer of this kind will not gallop away. It will take time for things to develop.
Normally following mastectomy, radiotherapy or chemotherapy is given as a preventative measure in case there are lurking cells. |

Thank you for replying. I got a call today .I leave for Vancouver the 29th of February .I will have the bone scan plus all other scans they need and be back March 3rd. The outcome of those test determine my treatment. At least I'll have my chemo in my home town instead of outside of the territory. Whitehorse is the capital of the Yukon. We even have waiting lists on mammograms. We have a campaign on now to get new equipment for our hospital and surgical care _________________ - Age of diagnosis: 56 (current age)
