My pop was told he had lung and bone cancer a few weeks ago he went from 180lbs down to 120lb in about a month. He starts chemo tomorrow he's in pain and he won't let me go back home to see him. He said he does't want me to see him this way. My sister lives in Jersey with him so she knows how he has looked all along, I keep asking her to call me and she doesn't I feel like they aren't telling me everything. How much worce can it get then cancer of any kind. I have been reading some of the stories and they have helped alot. I keep looking up different sites trying to get info. There are so many sites any help would be welcome. And GOD bless all of you who are dealing with this awful illness.
Thanks Chrissy |

Hello,
I am so sorry to hear about your dad, my prayers and thoughts are with you both.
This is my first post and some may be more experienced than me.
But, here is some information that might be helpful to you.
There is a Organization called The Wellness Community that has information and support groups for not only people going through cancer but also people whose family or friends are going through cancer. I give this information to my clients daily and have met the individuals who run the program. They seem to be very well organized and caring from my experience. Here is their number 602-712-1066 and their site is :
I hope this information helps.
God Bless |

If just one person can give comfort to another by giving them a number to call why would you call that advertisement. I thought this was a compastionate site. I am very great full for the number and its help which is more than I have gotten from this site, book burning ended long ago. I will not use this site again or pass it on to anyone else.

But Please understand the problems we are having, and if by not recieving a site, you are upset. Realise the problems ALL guest and memebers may have with the wrong advice/spam/virses etc.
I do hope you recieve the help you need. And that you do get to see your Dad, and he stays strong.

So sorry to hear about your dad, my dad was also diagnosed with lung and bone cancer a few weeks ago and is now going through 5 rounds of radiaton and then will be on 2 rounds of chemo, after that, we don't know what the next step might be.
It hurts so much that someone you care so much about is in this kind of pain, but all we can do now is stay positive and try to help him stay positive as much as we can. I hope it all goes well with your dad's chemo. Wishing you and your family all the best. |
