Hello everyone, I've just registered to try & find more information for my sister in law, she has just been diagnosed, operated on and is awaiting first Chemo. My wife had breast cancer 7 years ago and is fighting fit despite the ravages of tamoxifen, radio & chemo.

My question is aimed at any horse riders who have been through this or know any more about the problems associated with hysterectomy, chemo & radio therapy. She has been told she will probably not be able to ride a horse again after the various treatments.

Why ?

Regards

Hi - I cannot see why she should not eventually be able to ride again. Once the treatment is over and her scars are healed, and she is reasonably fit, she should be able to ride.

I would ask again for more specific information or advice from the oncology team. I think there may be a misunderstanding here.

Hi, I'm sorry About the sad news about your sister - in - law. Hopefuly after hysterecomy and treatment all will be fine and clear. Fingers crossed for her/you.

I believe vee is right (again) Wink . she should be fine after all treatments and so on. Please ask her medical team, as this might cheer her up some- if it's something she loves dearly.
