Tomorrow I see my Onc. and find out if the recent CAT scan has shown any changes internally.
For the first time, I am nervous. I have been on an even keel for so long, and it is hard to think that the beast is taking a grip.
Please - think of me tomorrow evening |

Vee, I am nervous with you. I hope your scan shows that we are worrying about nothing. You are most definitely in my thoughts and prayers. If you are still up, get a good night's sleep. Update us as soon as you can. _________________ Jim

Well - just shows how much one's mind takes over. The scan showed practically no change from previous. So everything inside is as it virtually unchanged and it's just the skin changes which are a concern and an indication that things are slightly out of control. I shall change to another hormonal for 3 months, and in the meantime will research the chemo options: Taxol; Taxol + Avastin; Capecitibine.
I will welcome comments on any or all of these.
Thank you, everyone.

Sorry for not replying sooner - yes, essentially good news. I'm on femara for the time being, and hope that progression will be reduced to zilch.
I'm hesitant about avastin as a brain scan will be required and if anything shows on it that is doubtful, I would have to stop driving - and that is impossible at present. So I have three months to think about it before deciding. |
