Yes... but how nice I would be very much depends on the details of the situation, my current situation, the person's situation...

I didn't want to go into it too much- beacuse it's not a blaming game- BUT
- it is... Wink doesn't make sense- i know.

short and very aprivated:

I was silly just 18- wanted to do everything see everything, travel, party.
Went to his house, with my bestfriend and her boyfriend. Had dinner, Some drinks, bam, before you know it, dizzy, couldn't move, couldn't speak...

Then Morning, woke up. tried to get out of bedroom, but door was locked and had no handle... I freaked and screemed for him to open door- he did. I Left..... and tried to forget.

He rang and wanted to see me, stalked for a bit. Till I set my older brother onto him... That was the short version. Confused

I don't know Confused Honestly, I'd probably want to tell him, but I don't know if I could actually go through with it. I'm a total non-confrontation person, so stuff like that is really hard for me.

Lots of hugs & prayers sent your way!

Thanks, it's been 10-11 years, a long time. Thought it might give me a little closure... maybe.

More want to say it to help others and make him awear, if not already.

I'm 50% sure who gave it to me.. I have to tell TWO people. (Only two I slept with unprotected before I was diagnosed...) Problem is they are both married. One's wife hates me. For unknown reasons. The woman doesn't even know me--though he keeps in contact with me. The other I can't hold a good conversation with, without screaming at him or running off crying. He too is married... I don't want him to feel I'm blaming him, because how could he possibly have known? But I know that is how he'll take it. Soooo..

If I am told I have cancer.. I'll tell them both. Absolutely for sure. (I'll know in 10 days.. Hopefully.) I'm aiming for the "I'm very concerned about your wife." Standpoint. Because, truthfully, I am.

I'm terrified the one will turn it around on me telling me I gave it to him and yada yada. When we can't exactly pinpoint that either. I don't want this to turn into a blame game. That's my biggest worry here. It's nobody's fault. Neither of us could've known and I'm a faithful Pap-goer. I've never missed one since I was sexually active.

Anyhow. If and when...

I have read that upwards of 80% of the sexually active population is infected with some strain of HPV. The strains that cause warts do not cause cervical cancer, so your partners had no idea that they were carriers. Condoms are thought to be ineffective in preventing transmission as it is spread by skin on skin contact and a condom does not cover the entire penis. Every woman who has HPV does not get cancer. I guess my point is why would you disrupt these men's lives in order to place blame on them for something they had no knowledge of...and if their wives are going for their annual paps, then they will be fine. If not, then really, whose fault is it at that point?? I am certain they will continue to have sex with their husbands in spite of anything you tell them. And technically, they did not "give you cancer". Your body's response to the virus is why you have cancer. I say leave it alone and concentrate on getting better!!
