Hello,
Dad had his latest Chest CT last week. He finished Chemo in November and had a CT in January that showed significant reduction. On the latest chemo it was noted that there was a slight increase in the mass in his lung. On the January CT it measured 1.3 cm and it now measures 1.5 cm. The other lymph nodes look stable and some show signs of calcifying. Nothing else new to report.
He seems to be feeling much better and getting around better. What do you think the doc will say about this slight increase. He currently is still taking avastin every three weeks. Is this a sign treatment is no longer working?
Thanks!

Dewey,

Wait to hear from the oncologist what his/her take is on the report. A few mm's one way is minimal and could be considered stable by some doctors. It could simply be an incorrect measurement. One time my husband showed some small change, but our oncologist didn't just go by the reports, he always reviewed the actual scans and determined that the change wasn't actually a change. (Did that make sense?)

Good luck and keep us posted.

PBJ
