Hi Montenegrita, I am glad to hear from you but sad that your hair is falling out so quickly. My chemotherapy did not cause my hair to fall out but I cut it off anyhow. Since my family pattern is for the men to loss their hair anyhow, it was an easy decision for me to make. I understand that it would be harder if I were a woman so I do not mean to minimize the significance of this side effect. I hope that the chemo is working to kill your cancer.

Thanks Jim. I am not sure will it all fall out... or it will just thin out. Lot of people say it just thinned out. I am hoping that someone will share experience with me. For sure I am going to see a hairdresser to make it really short. And then we will see... My doc is not happy that side effects are appearing this early! We'll see how it will go from here. All the best to all of you people.

I am about to do treatment 11 and I have not lost any hair.

When I first started doing chemo, I needed a haircut, but I didn't get one. I figured why waste money if I am going to loose my hair, but it never happened. My 9 year old son wanted to see me bald so he was dissapointed LOL! Kids are funny some times.

I have had to deal with a dozen other side effects, but no hair-loss. My doctor told me later that hair loss usually didn't happen with my type of chemo treatments.
