Hi,

I have a few questions I hope you guys can help me with. I'm worried I might have brain cancer.

Starting last week, I began to experience severe daily headaches. From the moment I wake up my head hurts. The pain is on the back and front of the head and also sometimes on the temples. There are both sharp pains and throbbing pains. I have been very sensitive to light and am having trouble with daily activities.

Also, my vision is sometimes blurred when doing work on the computer. When I roll my eyes to the right side the pain is greater.

Basically I am very very worried as I have not been right for the last 6 months. 4 months ago I had severe night sweats. These lasted for approx 7 weeks and I had them every night. My doctor and I didn't know what was wrong so I tested for both HIV and TB. Both were negative. I have read that night sweats can be a symptom of cancer.

Something is wrong with my body and I don't know what it is! What could be the possible diagnosis for me? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

livelifetofullest, I am very sorry about your health concerns. Your symptoms could be caused by many other things. Most of the symptoms you list are not usually associated with brain cancer.

I forgot to add in my original post that I am 26 years old.

I went to my Dr. yesterday. He took another HIV test, was negative. Then he sent me to the hospital to have a CT scan, that was negative as well. Today he has ordered an MRI for me.

He prescribed me METHYLPREDNISOLONE.

The MRI is what I'm most scared about. From my reading it seems like all of my symptoms would indicate that I have Lymphoma which spread to my brain. Is there any way this isn't the case?

I don't mean to come on here and act scared, but I am. What else could this possibly be?
