Hi everyone,

I'm writing on behalf of my mom who went in for a routine check-up two weeks ago where they found two walnut size malignant tumors in her uterus. They suggested an immediate hysterectomy and she had surgery immediately. My mom is probably about 50lbs overweight, 60 years old and diabetic. We literally hung up with the doctors 5 minutes ago with results from the biopsy. They found a tumor at the base of her Large Intestine, on the Rectum, one on an ovary, one on the omentum (sp?) or fatty stomach lining, and nothing on any other vitals. Her Uterus was packed with cancer (both Pappilary Cirrius Cancer and Endometrium)... said it was 4x its normal size. They suggested 6 weeks to recover from surgery, then internal radiation with chemo every 3 weeks for probably 6 treatments. No cancer was found in the Lymph nodes, but they're saying it traveled through the Omentum. She's been diagnosed with stage 4 uterine cancer and they've said we're looking at a 20% chance that it doesn't surface in the next five years. From those of you going through this, who've gone through this, have loved ones who've gone through this PLEASE HELP!! She's my world and I'll do anything and everything to beat this. She's in San Jose, California, but I'm moving her to Los Angeles in the next month or so, so I can take care of her. PLEASE, any convention treatment, alternative ideas, hospital suggestions in southern california (she's with Kaiser but we'll figure out money somehow if she needs to go elsewhere), doctors, oh nutrition (have heard that plays a big part in this), anything at all in any capacity that will prolong/save her life... Please help me, I just cant lose her and I cant imagine life without her. I don't think you can post websites or anything on this site so please contact me directly if you have any blocked suggestions at chris_leanza@spe.sony.com. Thank you so much for anything and if there's nothing you can do to help, please just keep her in your prayers.

Hi, Cleanza - I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone, and that someone with more knowledge will be along to give you support.

Do you have support? Is there someone who you can talk to? It is important not to bottle up your worries.

cleanza, I am very sorry about your mother's cancer. Since I know very little about this type of cancer, I can only point you to the first source I look to when trying to learn about a cancer. It is the National Cancer Institure's website at http://cancer.gov . I hope others will reply with their own stories and support.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.
