Oh Caligirl, I am so sorry sweetie. Talk to her, ok? Doctors say that our loved ones can still hear us. Tell her it is ok. Tell her you love her. And know that she loves you and will always be in your heart.

You and your mother are still in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh Cali,
I am so sorry to hear the news on your mum. I am so sorry, I hope amongst this awful sad time you will be able to try and eat and try your best to keep your strength up..
You are such a wonderful daughter to her and she knows it. Like Tera says, talk to her and keep her listening. When my nan was in a coma I chatted and told her all the things that I had forgotten to say, whilst she was alive. When I told her I loved her and I would miss her she moved just a little and I felt she heard me.
Oh boy Cali, I have to be in your shoes soon and I am frightened just like you must be now? Keep us informed if you can and I know i wont be the only one praying for you!
God be with you Cali, with lov koik

Caligirl I am so very sorry. If she is still with you now, definately talk to her. Let her know that you love her and it's ok to go. That is the only thing I regret about my experience with my mom; I didn't talk to her because I didnt' know what to say. But I think she knew.

You and your mom are in my thoughts and prayers. My God bring peace to your Mom and solace to you in this most difficult of times.

(((Caligirl))),

I'm just now reading your latest post. I'm so sorry sweetie. The other's are right, hold her hand, stroke her head, and tell her how much you love her. She does hear you -- my husband opened his eyes, after being unconscious for over six hours, when our daughter asked him to look at her. It's okay to tell her that it's alright to leave. I did that and assured him that we would be okay. I think they need to hear that. It's one of the hardest acts of love you'll ever do in your life, but you do it because you DO love that person with your whole heart.

I pray for peace for your Mom and strength and courage for you.

You and our dear Koik continue to be an inspiration to all of us.

Many hugs,
PBJ

Cali,
Definitely talk to her...hold her hand and let her know you're there. This reminds me so much of my own mom's last days that it brings tears to my eyes. You are a good daughter--you should be very proud of yourself Caligirl...Gosh---God bless sweetheart...With much empathy, Kim

Thank you all for all your prayers and advice. My laptop isn't workig properly and I have not wanted to leave my mom.
Today is day 6 of an unresponsive coma. I have had crisis care round the clock since last Sat. She has amazed all the doctors and nurses as she has not followed ANY normal pattern of dying. They are so wonderful and she is completely peaceful. Here is a quick recap...
Sat....Last words, unresponsive by about 7 pm, Hospice came in to stay
Absolute roller coaster, I have slept about 20 hour total. They keep thinking this was is. No food or water since Fri....Still kicking. Was awakened by them last night as her "fish breathing" was occuring and that usually means minutes....she bounced back, this morning - tried to come to and showed some pain, VERY bad coloring with a lot of modeling - bounced back again...
Hospice nurse said they have never seen anybody hold on this long in her condition.
We all have released her several times now. I sit and play worship music low, hold her hand, talk to her, kiss her, pray for her, have had our pastor come by every day to read scriptures to her.
I am exhausted and my nerves are raw.
We are now praying God takes her, as tomorrow is my daughters graduation from high school and I DO NOT want to leave my mom and I also DO NOT want to miss my daughters graduation...I feel like the movie "Sophies Choice".....
Please continue to pray for my mom....
There is so much more but I better get back to her.....
With much love and gratitude....

Although I don't know you Cali,
I know the journey you are on...
I pray that you can be both at your daughter's graduation and see your mother "home."
Much love and prayers are being sent your way,

calgirl, my heart breaks for you as I read you post Sad. What a terrible choice you have! Sophies Choice is one of my favorite movies of all times! Her choice was an unbelievably hard one to make. So for you to use that to describe your feelings really drives home to me how much you must be hurting.

I have no answer for you but I assure you that you are in my thoughts and prayers as you try to find an answer with which you can live.

Caligirl...thanks for taking a few minutes out to let us all know what is happening. My heart goes out to you. We all understand what you are going through. You really are doing the best thing for you and your mom by being by her side and talking and praying with her. I am so sorry that this is happening at the same time as your daughters graduation! It is an impossible choice, and you will do what is best for you and your family.

God bless you both Cali. You are both in my thoughts and prayers.
