Hi there my name is Caitlin and I am 40. My mom was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. First it was in the colon she had surgery and it was removed. Then three months later it resurfaced in the liver. She had surgery again and the surgeon said she was cured. Then four months later it resurfaced again in the colon, liver and bowels. Talk about ups and downs. This is all really getting to me. My mom also broke her back ten years ago when she fell down the stairs. That day she was supposed to go into court and put her brother away for abusing herself, my cousin and me. She doesn't need anything else. This CANCER is a horrible disease!!!! My mom just stopped chemo last week but is isn't helping at all anymore. I am just so frustrated, angry and sad all at the same time. Enough is enough! Thanks for listening!

Hi Caitlin,

Welcome to the forum. I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. It sounds like she certainly has had her share of ups and downs. I lost my Mom on June 1st to lung cancer. I came to this forum to find help and what I've found is a wonderful community of knowledgable and caring people who have walked in our shoes. You will not be alone here - come and ask questions, or just vent if that's what you need to do. There will be someone to listen and hold you up.

Hi CJW. I moved your topic to the Colon Cancer Forum since that is probably your mother's primary cancer. I am truly sorry that your mother has the terrible disease.

Your mother really has been through a lot Shocked!! I can certainly understand your anger and frustration at it all. Know that we are here to listen to you.

You and your mother are in my thoughts and prayers.
