I have known several people who have had to battle cancer; as I've seen them fight their illness, I've seen them undergo treatments that work and treatments that don't work.
Basically, it all boils down to this: one should always seek standard treatment of cancer; alternative medicine should never be used exclusively. Many people have died because they chose to not get standard Western medical care for their cancer and chose instead to only get an alternative medicine treatment.
The sad truth is that most alternative medicine treatments for cancer do not work, and those few that do work don't work for most people. Don't be fooled by those so-called cancer-fighting teas, salves, creams, and multivitamins; none of them are capable of curing cancer, though some vitamins are a good complementary therapy in addition to your usual Western medicine. Getting an alternative medicine treatment without also getting standard Western medical care is nothing short of a death sentence.
That said, there are some things one can do that improve one's chances of winning against cancer. Some of these things include:
1.) Taking care of yourself. Going to bed early, getting plenty of sleep, getting regular exercise (if you are healthy enough for it), eating organic and natural food, and so on do improve your chances of beating cancer. Taking care of yourself in this way actually helps your chances of winning against any disease.
2.) Eating cancer-fighting foods. This may help a little bit, particularly with intestinal/bowel cancer.
3.) Avoiding foods/technology/environments that cause/worsen cancer. Cell phones, for example, are associated with higher rates of brain cancer; therefore, it would be wise to avoid them. Red meat consumption is associated with higher risk for bowel cancer, so obviously eating red meat isn't a good idea for those with bowel cancer. Aspartame consumption is associated with many different types of cancer, so it too should be avoided. However, there are so many foods, technologies and pollutants that worsen cancer that you'll need to go to a specialist to find out all the things you need to stay away from.
Well, best of luck to you all.
Sincerely,
Noah |
