Just to update you all,

MyMaria, my wife, is cancer free! THANK GOD!

Recent PET, MRI indicates that there is no sign of active cancer. CA2729 had been dropping since chemo back in March. My wife continues to increase her stamina and strength, but it continues to be difficult for her. Still has some bouts of nausea and continues to take a number of medications to help cope with issues that resulted from cancer.

The cancer didn't leave w/o doing some damage to her vertebra. One of her thoracic vertebra collapsed and recent surgery has helped to reestablish it's functionality so that back pain has mostly disappeared.

She continues to take Aredia every four weeks, hormone therapy daily, and visits her oncologist every 4-weeks to get CA2729 checked.

The interesting thing is that her oncologist will not use the word remission. And I frankly appreciate that. He has been phenomenal throughout her recovery and has been a confident and reassuring beacon of compassion and competence. We are aware that our journey and vigilance has just begun and life will never be the same again. But this is the chance that GOD has given us to reassess and use our experience to help others with this disease.
