Vee, that one has been around for a long time. Presenved meats have nitrates in them. Not sure how much evidence there is that nitrates increase the risk of cancer.

It has - but a new report has hit the media here - chiefly because amongst other things the originators say that eating sausages is particularly bad for you. Panic has struck the journalists. Laughing

When you look at it in more depth, it is of course further research into the effects of preservatives in food.

The one slightly peculiar recommendation was to eat red meats instead of preserved meats.

Geeze Louise --- now they say red meats? I can't keep up with all this stuff. Wine is good, then it's bad. Red meat is bad, then it's good.

I say fuhgetaboutit --- I'm eating what I want and enjoying my life.

(Somebody will probably get upset with that remark! Shocked )

Cellular changes are early symptoms for the possible development of breast cancer. I think a doctor would advice much better about how to care for your breast cancer .

granson, I am not sure you replied to the topic. The topic is about cancer prevention and not breast cancer.

My dad had colorectal cancer. As a prevention, I supplement all meals with pancreatic enzymes, along with a daily dose of probiotics. So far, it has reduced many of my gut and yeast issues. My arthiritis seems not to hurt as much.

Hello mimistar

I'm glad to hear your arthritis is under control. Did you know that a person with rheumatoid arthritis has a 75 times more likely chance of contracting non hodgkins lymphoma? I know this because I had both Sad Of the two the Arthritis was harder on my body and soul than the cancer. Fortunately the Chemo I received has put my RA in remission , I hope for life. For that I thank medical science.

I personally know 2 vegetarians who had cancer. they were very strict and fanatical about their diet, but they got cancer anyway. Sometimes its no ones fault, its just the way the cookie crumbles. I know my anecdotal evidence is no proof of anything, but I thought I would share it anyway.

Cancer is life gone nuts in an uncontrolled fashion and sometimes there is no way to avoid it, but by all means eat and live healthy because if anything it will make you feel better Smile
