My name is June & I have been to this forum many times through my dads brain cancer trying to find answers to the questions I had. I never posted anything because I was so down & confused about what was going on in my life.

My dad....David, was the best thing in my life. He was my father & I was a Daddy's Girl. My dad was diagnosed with a Gliobastoma Grade IV in December 2006. That was the most devasting day of my life. I won't go into many details because the wounds are still deep but my dad past away March 20th 2008. He was a good man & was only 66 at the time of his death.

My dad sought medical help at the Preston Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University Center in Durham, NC. This is a great place & I would recommend this to anyone who is seeking help. They are a great group of doctors & research this kind of cancer daily.

Please email me if I can help in any way & also be strong everyday because your loved one counts on you.

I pray for each & every one of you

June

Hi June, I am also very sorry about your father's GBMIV. You speak of him in the passed tense. Does this mean he has already died?

My mother died of a GBMIV in 1998 just 2 months after being diagnosed. But she opted for no treatment. By the dime it made its presence known, it was already so large that it was causing a midline shift.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi June, thank you for your post and your thoughts for everyone affected by this terrible disease. I'm sorry to read that your father lost his battle with this terrible disease. I can understand why you don't want to go into details of your experience with this terrible disease. It is so unfair that so many wonderful people are taken way too early in their life. He sounds like he was a terrific dad. Hold on to those lovely memories. I hope you have someone close to help you through your grieving, if not make sure you try and talk and lean on someone. My love and thoughts are with you during this very sad time.
