preface: When Mom was first in the hospital I went looking for something. I didn't know what. I rode for an hour.
Although she raised me Catholic, I made my own choices when I thought I was old enough. Today, I'm not a religious man but I do believe in God. I don't believe, much, in the church but when I was looking for something that day I ended up at a church that I haven't stepped into in many many years.

2nd reading
Timothy 4:6-8, 17-18

and the time of my departure has come.

which the Lord,
the righteous judge,
will give me on that day,
and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
The Lord stood by me and gave me strength,
so that through me the message might fully be proclaimed
and all the Gentiles might hear it.
So I was rescued from the lions mouth.
The lord will rescue me from every evil attack
and save me for his heavenly kingdom.

I read them at her funeral. _________________ I miss my mom. |
