My best friend just Diagnosed with Lyphoma, Biapsy was today we dont know anything about results, or prognosis but im going to visit him tomorrow and want to bring him something
He's 40 years old with 4 small kids. Can anyone suggest any insirational books, that will help him through this. Never dealt with this and would prefer not to just take a clerks recommendation. I really will do all i can but hopefully there is some smart advice from someone whos been there and survived.
Any help would be appreciated...

Robert

Hi Robert,
When my fiance was diagnosed with Hodgkins last year, he surfed the internet for everything & didn't really want to read the books he was given during treatment. I know not all people respond that way though. But here are some he did like:
After a few months of treatment "Cancer on $5 a Day" by Robert Schimmel, a comedian. Robert went through treatment for Non-Hodgkins & wrote an honest & funny book about what he went through & how he made it. I would recomend that book for him once he knows a little bit more & has started treatments.

Also, I bought a book called "Help me Live - 10 things a cancer patient wants you to know" by Lori Hope. I bought it for myself & my future in-laws, but my fiance saw it & wanted to read that too. it was helpful to know that some things that you think are helping are making it harder on them.

Also - if you want to find creative gifts for anytime, try the Cafe Press website, just search for the type of cancer he is diagnosed with & it
was amazing the designs & items they have.
Good luck & stay strong!
-Ti
