Dear all,

I have read this site since my mother's illness was diagnosed in summer 2007. It has helped me immensely, providing me with information which no one else would divulge. Although the sad thing about pancreatic cancer is its apparent inevitability it gave me hope to know that somehow through this forum my experience was shared and similar problems aired. Sadly my mum died at the end of September 2008. I find the finality of it the hardest to deal with. Perhaps strangely, I had almost looked forward to nursing her through the winter months, making sure she was warm enough and cooking for her. I am glad she is no longer in pain but I also miss caring for her as I loved her so much.

When she passed, she went peacefully, without too much of a struggle. As with many sufferers on this site I can't help but feel she was too healthy and too active to succumb to this debilitating and fast acting disease but it seems there is no rhyme or reason.

I wish everyone who is suffering or caring all the best with their struggle. We can only hope that a cure will be found soon.

Hi Hope2uAll. I am very sorry about your mother's death of this terrible disease. I am glad that unknowingly this forum was of help to you during this last year.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grief.
