Hello,

Does anyone have experience or know someone who has had experience with squamous cell skin cancer? I've done the research and see that's it more serious than basal, but not as serious as melanoma. I have a few questions:

1. How long is it considered "safe" before removing it? If one waited 6 weeks for the biopsy and then had to wait 7 more weeks for a cosmetic surgeon to remove it, would that be consider a "safe," reasonable wait? It is a mid-grade squamous. There is also low-grade pain.

2. How and when do they stage/determine if there is any spread?

Thanks for the help.

I have deleted several replyies to this topic because they were off topic and involved alternative treatments. If you wish to continue to discuss that treatment, please, use the alternative treatment forum. Thank you.
