Hi - my Mum is currently being treated for carcinoid tumours with monthly lanreotide injections. She's started losing her hair quite rapidly since the injections began and wants to know if anyon else on lanreotide has experienced similar symptoms? As another forum mentioned, carcinoid tumours are incredibly rare, and her doctors seem to be fobbing her off without satisfactory answers.

I should mention that she has just undergone treatment for colon cancer, which did not involve radiation or chemo.

Any advice from ANYONE who knows ANYTHING about this type of cancer, or about lanreotide, would be very gratefully received. She's going through a bit of a rough time and could really do with some advice.
