18 Mo old Ava has metastasized neuroblastoma PLEASE HELP!

Hello,

Last night my niece was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma after over a week of tests and 2 blood transfusions. She has a lemon-sized tumor on her adrenal gland near, possibly attached to the liver. The cancer has spread to her bones and bone marrow.

The doctors have given Ava a 30-40% chance of survival at this point. They are proceeding with 12-14 months of chemo to try and shrink the tumor to an operable size. They will also perform a stem cell/bone marrow transplant.

I can't even imagine what my brother Mike and his wife Chrisie have been through these last two weeks. They are any a mission to do anything and everything to help little Ava survive this aweful disease.

Here is what I need from you:

Any words of encouragement, survival stories, treatments, doctors, hospitals, advice, and especially prayers. Anything I can pass along to my brothers family to help give them strength and hope in this painful upcoming year.

Hi Jack. I am so sorry to hear about Ava's advanced cancer Sad

. I cannot imagine what this is doing to her parents. My heart goes out to little Ava, your brother and his wife. They are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey Jack, wow just reading your post me and my wife were really touched. I know your niece is getting great care, tell your family we said to hang in there. We did think of a scriputre from the bible that brings comfort to many....Psalms 55:22 "throw all your burden.....because He cares for you" hope this helps. Take care and keep us updated!
