just completed biopsy-results next week-doc says nothing-always had low psa -digital revealed something there on last physical-what could it be other than cancer-I have no symptoms-Joe

Joe,

It is normal to be anxious waiting for something that can potentially change your life. Prostate nodules can be benign, being caused by BPH: benign prostatic hyperplasia. It is essentially enlarged prostate, that most, if not all, man will have at some point.

Joe:
The low PSA is good, and yes, it could be a benign nodule. You can do a free PSA to tell you if it's more likely benign, but don't get too concerned until you get more info. What's your age?
