My grandson has had two surgeries and the diagnosis is pylomyxoid astrocytoma. It is apparently very aggresive and if not contained by radiation and oral chemo he may according to doctors not live long. We are devastated with this news as he looks and acts perfectly normal. Do you know of any other cases especially success stories.

Thel, I am very sorry to hear about your grandson. I do not know anything about pylomyxoid astrocytoma... although I do have a glioma. How old is your grandson? I hope he does well with the radiation and chemo.

You and your grandson are in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh, it is never easy to see a child who is sick... especially with cancer. Is he at a major children's cancer center?
