Hi all. Just a quick update. MIL wasn't well enough to come out of hospital for christmas, but we took in lovely seafood and christmas pudding and had quite a nice time. She has been transfered to a palliative care hospital now and is deteriating quite rapidly overr the last week. Cancer is everywhere, even showing lumps all over her jaw and skull. Sleeps quite alot, but had a scare today where she couldn't get her breath. They thought it might have been a clot. They don't do scans or anything, just try and make her as comfortable as possible. She wakes up every now and then and still seems to know what is going on and has lovely chats with Andrew and myself. I hope everyone had a great christmas and new year. Love to all. Thinking of you all. Will try and catch up soon. _________________ Love to all. Jen.

Hi all. Another update on MIL. It turned out that it wasn't a blood clot. Not too sure what it is. Last weekend her brother and best friend flew up for the weekend and the change in her was amazing for the first day. It was lovely to see them all reminiscing. Since then she has deteriated and have noticed in the last couple of days she is getting increasingly sleepy and quite confused and frustrated about everything (understandable). It is hard to understand her yesterday and today and some things she says doesn't make sense. She has had a few days of terrible pain which the nurses are quick to try and bring under control. We take it one day at a time. Have been thinking of you all. Love to all. _________________ Love to all. Jen.

Hi everyone. Just letting you all know that Andrew's mum passed away on 12th February. The last few days were really hard. She wasn't really concious but she knew we were there - you could tell by the way she was breathing, it was like she was trying to talk to us. She passed away peacefully and unfortunately we weren't with her. We had been with her all day and then left to go home for awhile (Andrew needed a bit of a break) and she passed away 1hr later. I think she knew that it was so hard for Andrew to watch her die. We held a beautiful serrvice for her and all her friiends attended. I haven't been on for quite a while but have been thinking of you all. Love to all. Jen. _________________ Love to all. Jen.
