my wife's mom had Leukemia - ALL , i am worried if this would be hereditary ?
should we take any precautions ?

kasi316 I am very sorry about your mother-in-law's ALL. My father died of ALL complications in 2006.

There really is no scientific proof of ALL being hereditary. There are only two types of cancers where there is scientific proof of a family link: colorectal cancers and breast cancers. Of course, there might still be some common environmental factors that would affect all of you but I do not know of any that are linked to ALL.

You and your MIL are in my thoughts and prayers.
