N0M0, (N zero M zero), in response to notme's question, is part of the TNM staging system for prostate cancer.

Regional lymph nodes (N)

* NX: Regional lymph nodes were not assessed
* N0: No regional lymph node metastasis (lymph nodes confined to the true pelvis)
* N1: Metastasis in regional lymph node(s)

Distant metastasis (M)*

* MX: Distant metastasis cannot be assessed (not evaluated by any modality)
* M0: No distant metastasis
* M1: Distant metastasis
o M1a: Nonregional lymph node(s)
o M1b: Bone(s)
o M1c: Other site(s) with or without bone disease

In my case, I should amend my signature to NXM0, a more accurate depiction of my stage.

Thanks for making this a sticky, Brainman.

I pulled out my medical record and corrected my own stage in my signature here to what the oncologist wrote--T2c (not T3a, even though the cancer penetrated the capsule wall it didn't go through, so it's T2c) and NXMX.
