My father after Wipples. Should he have chemotherapy?? What is this ?

my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (adenocarcenoma) and had wipples operation in March 2009, he had a good recovery and left the hospital after 10 day, the results of the cytology came as adenocarcenoma but luckly no local lymphonodes involvement and edge of the resection was clear (R0 , N0). We have been referred to have some discussion about chemotherapy. we met a specialist nurse who just said we should be starting chemotherapy in couple of weeks time. we read the side effect of the drug which he supposed to start taking in 2 weaks (5 Flourouracil) and we are very scared and confused what to do.
what do you think? dose any one have any suggestion??

I wish if some one who has any experieince with 5-flourouracil chemotherapy to say what it was like to have this medications. we are very scared to go through all the stress and side effect of chemotherapy.

Had a whipples in january started chemo 25th of march,having 3 cycles of gemisar first cycle made me as sick as a dog into my second cycle now not so bad this time but only had a week so far second dose tomorrow see how I go.
