Hi Everyone,
Yesterday was a pretty scary day I mean a very scary day. I was walking behind my dad and his walker as he was heading to the bathroom and he became light headed and dizzy and dropped to his knees. We had been back and forth to the bathroom about 6 times in a half hour. He kept saying he need to have a b.m. but could not get the job done. I got him laid down and he was out for about 10 seconds which seemed like 10 hours.

Called my husband and son home to help me get him and back to bed. He was very cold to the touch and had an awful color about him. We took him out to the E.R. Poor guy was throwing up the whole way there.

When we got him them they did their assessment and he was so cold they could not even get his temp., his b.p. was way low, white count was goofy showing he was coming down with some type of bacteria.

Finally got him warmed up and some IV fluids in him. They did admit to the hospital to keep and eye on him.

As the day progressed he was still having awful stomach cramps. Had to give him a suppository to help get things moving. It was sad to see how much pain he was in. Did have some blood in this stool so they were going to be checking that out today.

This Cancer is just the SH*TS... It is just tears a person apart....

Well better go for now need to head to the hospital. Thanks for listening and thanks for this forum..it is AWESOME to know that you are going through this alone.

Thinking and Praying for you all!!

Joey

Sad Poor guy. How awful to deal with that on top of everything else. I hope his BMs become regular soon. I'm sure he hated going back to the hospital after being there for so long before. Many hugs to you for being so strong and caring for your wonderful father. Your job isn't always easy, but it is well worth it. Keep us posted on his condition.
