This may have been discussed before, I'm new to the forum and did not see a way to search.

Over the weekend I found a couple of articles regarding the benefits of bee pollen and more compelling, ECGC, a green tea extract, in slowing the growth of prostate cancer cells.

Anyone have any experience and/or opinions on this? I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the links to the articles here.

Thank you!

You need to make 10 regular posts before including links.

I've haven't heard about bee pollen and prostate cancer, but I know there's interest in green tea extract. Arizona Cancer Center, for example, at the University of Arizona, is studying it right now against prostate cancer and others.

Don't know about Bee pollen but there has been a small but significant study that proves that Pomegranate Juice slows prostate cancer.

My Hubby has a Gleason 9, had a RP in January, and is about to start SRT.

He's been drinking 8 oz of POM since his diagnosis.......it only worked on 'some' of the patients by extending their life spans but IMO, it's worth trying.

It cannot harm you, it's just fruit juice. We buy POM brand.

Best wishes,

Jean

Plus, pomegranate juice is VERY tasty, especially the POM brand. I usually can't afford that brand, but when I do I notice a difference.

And it goes great with vodka.

Thanks for the POM suggestion. I do remember reading about that and I've purchase a juice blend of pomegranate/blueberry which my husband isn't wild about. But I think I'll just buy the POM and tell he has to drink it or no clean underwear!! Smile
Maybe Vodka/POM will be his new cocktail. Wink

Pomegranite juice is very expensive. You can get pomegranite extract pills for a lot less money and they have more active stuff than an 8oz glass of the juice.
