my 84 yr old dad had a serious brain tumor taken out, we were told it is that , or 1 month, we said yes, he has 45 staples in his head.........then, after a bad recovery 1 week post surgery, he has pneonina.....i still cannot get the stat's of his biopsy..................go figure...it seems they are hiding things..........then i decided to call hospice,...all of the sudden, he is on a morphine drip and my dad can't make one thing from another. yet he is much better, no crazy hallucinations, he is just "not there"
how dare the neuro-surgeon make his money on an old and very frail man. and the biopsy plus surgery means nothing now!
brainman where are? i put him into a surgery, just to put him into what???? |

I'm so, so sorry that you and your father are having so much difficultly. Please try not to be too hard on yourself. It is very difficult to decide what to do and what not to do in these cases. So many variables are involved.
My thoughts are with you.

Oh tawny, I am so sorry about your father's poor recovery. It is always hard to know what is the right thing to do... not only in the case of someone as old as your father is and as my mother ways. I am just personally happy that she made the decision not to get treatments... not use (her family) and not her medical team. We did our part in helping her understand what her option were but in the end, she made the decision.
As always, you and your father are in my thoughts and prayers. _________________ Jim
