Hello.

Recently I have noticed that I have a lump on either side of my testicles.

I have absolutley no other symptoms apart from tonight where I suffered a little amount of pain.

I am a little affraid of telling anyone and I am absolutley petrified of having surgery.

I was wondering if there is any other way that I can get past this thing? (Without Surgery)

Thank you.

Hi - at your age it could be all sorts of things, most of them quite normal and to do with changing physically. If you are worried, you must see your doctor. Don't be shy - he or she will have seen it all before.

There is no reason to think you will have to have surgery.

Ok. I am a bit calmer now and I should be going to see the doctor soon anyway so I should mention it.

Thank you for the advice Smile

hi, i could tell you this, since they are two lumps, i personally do not think it is something serious, think about it, howcome cancer started to grow at the same time in the two diffrent location, as far as i know testical cancer starts with one side, do not be shy and see a doctor.

Yes. Thank you. Very Happy
I am still wondering the other way to treat cancer though.
Just out of general interest.

There are three ways to treat cancer: Cut it out, poison it out, burn it out (surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy). All of the treatments can be included in one of those three groups.

hi there. i was diagnosed with stomack cancer 8 years ago and i've done operation rediation and little bit of chemo, on my way to recovery, i have research about the oregion of a cancer and how it forms, and i found out that it's all about how you treat your body and soul, bottom line my friend Cancer is not a dead sentence, now I am a big believer of alternative treatment, before and after of my operation and chemo i've done high dose of vitamin C treatment, and it was very effective, not because how i felt , but because i have done extensive blood work and the result was A+, i have changed my diet, absoulutly no meat, no dairy product, no negetive thinking, allwasys read success stories, lots of of vegitable, green juices, alkline water, read about Rife treatment, Ozone treatment, oxegen treatment, since cancer cell can not tolerate oxegen, running, jugging, anyway today i took about 10,000 ml of vit c,coq10, curcumn, and so on, and i feel great, do your homework, doctore's have very limited time to spend with their patients, and they make mistakes, so you got to be on top of it , use the university of Goggle, and read and read for your future, because as i said i think you are ok for now, but go and see a doctor and do the propper testing.

I would advise caution about recommending alternative treatments to a nervous and undiagnosed teenager. As you say, get a diagnosis and then seek proper advice on treatments.

This is definitely true of childhood cancer. Not always true of adult cancer any more, however. Monoclonal antibodies are very useful and do not fit either of the three categories directly. Just recently, there is one that got approved for all neuroblastoma patients, so it is slowly moving into childhood cancer too.

But, in general, children get the raw end of the deal and more than 99% of the treatments fit these three categories.
