Possible Pancreatic Cancer??

Hi Everyone!

I'm a 34 year old female. I've had multiple acute attacks of pancreatitis, the first when I was 29. I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis in late 2007.

I had an ultrasound on 30 March 2009 which identified a cyst in the head/neck of my pancreas, measuring 1.3 x 0.6 x 0.5 cm. My surgeon said it was nothing to worry about.

The findings from a follow-up ultrasound are as follows:

FINDINGS: The cyst in the pancreatic head/neck has significantly increased in size, now measuring 29mm in maximal diameter. It appears perhaps less cyst-like than it did previously and now is a more lobulated hypoechoic lesion. No calcification is seen within it and there is some peripheral vascularity. The pancreatic duct is prominent at 3mm.

COMMENT: The pancreatic head lesion is not a simple cyst with internal complexity possibly representing complex fluid however it could als o represent multiple small cysts or internal septation. There is some suspicion of at least peripheral vascularity. This requires further evaluatuion with CT or MRI.

I'm not sure what this means, so would love to hear from anybody who has experience or ideas!!! The bit I'm most concerned about is the
'lobulated hypoechoic lesion'.

hi. i do'nt know the meaning, read about LDN, low dose naltrexone, might be beneficial.
