I have a large red bump that has just come out of nowhere on a mole I had on my wrist and since my family has a history of cancer I just wanted to see if that is what it is.

Hi,

It's very worriesome but it's best if you consult a doctor.

No one on the internet is capable of diagnosing anything, even with photos...but especially cancers.

You'd be better off finding a dermatologist or derm clinic to visit as soon as possible.

Sorry I dont know if I type in every single letter and / in your website address?? I'm not too puter literate.

However I couldn't tell anyway, I'm waiting on results and thats the worst part. But know that FEAR stops us, and 95% of lesions that are CA are
curable!!!! And most are nothing or pre CA's so please GO. If its smaller
then an eraser and can be removed the Derm will take the whole thing off
and ship it out to pathology.

It hurts less then getting blood drawn....really...Denise

Fitz, the cardinal rule is that if a mole is exhibiting evidence of any change whatsoever, then go to a derm and have a pro look at it -- and I would insist that they do at least a punch biopsy (and NOT A SHAVE BIOPSY) since not all melanoma tumors follow the classic visual ABCDs -- mine sure as hell didn't and now I'm Stage IIA with about a 30% chance that my "wart" will come back and off me in the next 10 years (but alternatively, I have a 70% chance that it won't Laughing )

Time to visit the good skin doc laddy !
