Alright, I live in Florida I'm not a huge fan of the sun as I'm very vulnerable to it.

Two months ago; I had third degree burns twice. In one month two weeks apart. After I healed, I noticed a mark on my wrist about the size of a quarter or half dollar. It's very sensitive, and it's red and looks like it has bumps on it too. Almost as if it has blood built up underneath it. Now whenever I'm in hot weather, or in a heated area I get very uncomfortable and constantly itching. I don't know what it could be, which is why I came to the forums.

Any ideas, information, tips? Should I get it checked to be sure?

Hi irkramer, I am sorry about your health concerns. It really does not sound like a melanoma to me because it appeared so rapidly. While there is no way to be sure, I could be just a patch of skin that has more melan in it... like a age spot. Nevertheless, I would check with a dermatologist... and stay out of the sun my friend. It might not be melanoma now but if you keep this lifestyle up, you are at a significantly higher risk of getting it at some point in the future.
