I was so worried - my first colonoscopy since my diagnosis last year was this past Friday. Everything looked good according to my Doctor which was such a relief. I find myself getting very anxious before each 3 month checkup - ususally a CAT scan, and I was very nervous about having a colonoscopy after all the surgery last year.
I am so glad it's over, and so happy and relieved that it was clear.
Keeping all of you in my prayers, even though I don't post as often as I used to -
Cheers

Dulcimer Gal,
It's so great to hear from you, I'm so happy everything has been clear for you. I had my colonoscopy about a month ago and everything was clear too. My next check up is in September...fingers crossed already!
I hope you are enjoying the summer.
Hugs,

Hi Denise!
Great to hear from you too - so glad you are clear as well.
We are blessed.
Summer is great isn't it? Did you get one up there in Michigan? My daughter has been complaining that it is not hot enough and too cloudy this year where she is near Grand Rapids!
Virginia has been awesome -
I take it you are back at work too? I am - love it - though I don't have the stamina I used to have - I am still very grateful not to have the colostomy bag..so that makes life worth living.
Keep posting!
Cheers

Dulcimergal,
For awhile I didn't think we would have a summer here and then we got hit with HOT and HUMID days ugghhh...watch what you wish for!
It's been pretty decent lately, but hard to believe it's almost over. It's also hard to believe it's been over a year since my reversal. Things are much better now.
Yes, I'm back at work too and I'm very happy. This whole experience makes you appreciate everything in your life.
I don't post too often, but I do check up on here all the time and it's always great to see an update from you!
Hugs,
Denise |

| dulcimergal.. i do not believe i've been told my cancer was any more aggressive than others. my understanding was that different people with the same type cancer could receive the same treatment and get varying results. my being diabetic may have provided more nourishment to the tumor, but i've not been been given this as a reason. i do not believe they know or are not saying for some other reason.you know as well as i that you will get very little technical info without a fight from any oncologist. HOW long I GOT DOC? OH YOU WILL OUT LIVE ME. HOW AM I DOING? GREAT CAN'T BELIEVE HOW WELL YOU ARE HOLDING UP. i just keep a positive mind set and give them a hard time as often as i can. i could never have found better people to treat me and am very fortunate to have been able to receive the quality of treatment afforded me. i've had setbacks but each time {two heart attacks, low blood count etc} however i'm still here and have already ordered seed for spring planting. i ain't planning on leaving any time soon. just a plain ole redneck from the north ga. hills. god bless cach and every one of you. b. henderson |
