My original SNB was cancelled because the surgeon was not comfortable doing the surgery due to the location of my signal nodes. He referred me to a surgeon who does nothing but cancer surgery and was trained at MD Anderson. I'm not looking forward to going through the mapping again but I am grateful the first surgeon bowed out. I will have the SNB Monday and feel I am in good hands after meeting with the new surgeon this week. He seems ever so much more knowledgable and confident.

He says that in 60% of patients with Melanoma the size of mine, it has NOT spread to the lymph nodes. The odds could be better but they are still in my favor. Someone has to fall in the 6 out of 10 category and I figure I may as well be one of them ^_^.

Please keep my in your thoughts and prayers on Monday and send me all the positive energy you have to spare. I will post the results when I know them.
