Testicular cancer, prevent it with self palpation

Hi,

I'm a 22 Year old italian boy. I discovered a lump in my right testicle in the month of June (2009) then doctor-->echography-->urologist-->cancer diagnosis-->removal surgery-->prothesis and i'm still fighting with something i have into the abdomen muscles which has still to be established what it is.

I had the habit of self palpation of my testis and this probabily helped me to discover my cancer earlier (i didn't said saved my life because as you will see in the video, i am one of those 1 out of 10 patients which felt some pain down there, so i would have discovered it anyway)

So you should take this habit too, looks these videos, they are very very useful:

To the admin: New users can't post links, ok.

But removing that links is a very stupid things to do.
We are not playing monkey business or so, we aren't playing "don't post this to advertise other places/sites/forums so we will loose visitors". We are spreading the knowledges to avoid one type of cancer, and i'm not talking for the sake of doing it, i HAD a cancer to the right testicle and i know what i am saying. Those were only 2 videos giving infos and showing how to exact execute a successful and correct self testicle palpation. There is a valid motivation to remove those links? I don't think you will ever find one, and "It's the rule" it's not a valid one either.... This situation is tragicomical....

Put back those links for the healt of all of us. Rolling Eyes

You will be able to put the links up soon. Have a bit of patience. Anyone with some skills with search engines can find them anyway so there is no need to be upset.

In the time you have to wait maybe you can find some better links or even add to the 2 you have got.

The rule is there to protect us from spammers and prevent people from going to bad websites and having spyware and malware put onto their computers.

I can't get angry because you are a kind and clever person, but in this case i would like to.

1st: youtube it's world renowned and so the theory of spyware and so on it's senseless.

2nd: It's clear that those videos are a good thing, no need to remove them.

There is another way to minimize this type of cancer. It involves doing something that all boys do as they go through puberty. Cool

PS I know it's easy to joke about this, but I am not joking; this is true. Google it if you don't believe me.

moxie, if it's a youtube video, how about giving us the search term that will bring it up best? then we can go to youtube, search for the vid and find it that way.

Nice of you to share your story - did the doctors say how long the tumor had likely been there before you noticed it?
