IF ANYONE CAN HELP IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. My Dad came back today from the City of Hope and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that also spread to his liver (the liver biopsy showed it) . He is 75 years old, diabetic, but he feels fine (no abdominal pains or nothing) The hospital wants to pursue chemo they told him they do not suggest at all, surgery. Anyone that has gone through this if you would let us know what to expect, any treatments you may have done, any successes, and suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated. We love him very much and are in search of information of any sort to help him.
Thank you very much for reading,
God Bless |

mrlith,
You accidentally put this in the prostate cancer forum. I will ask an administrator to move your message up one forum to pancreatic.
Thanks,

I moved it for you
I am very sorry to hear about your father's advanced Pancreatic Cancer. Pancreatic Cancer can be one of the worse cancers known because there are so few effective treatment options and because of its impact on quality of life. Your father is fortunate to not yet show any changes in his quality of life. Use this time wisely because, I am sorry to say, it will not last. If you live near him, ask him every day if he would like to do something special... go somewhere he has not gone to in a long time, see an old High School friend, etceteras.
Keep in touch with us. We will try to answer your questions, lend you our support and give you our prayers. _________________ Jim
