Hi All

My Dad has been diagnosed with secondary liver cancer.
He had one of his eyes removed many years ago due to Melanoma
and doctors believe this is a result of that.

I understand he has many spots of cancer on his liver.

What treatment options are available for this type of cancer?
Doctors are suggesting Hepatic Artery Infusion - Anyone have any experience with this treatment?

We live way down in little New Zealand and I am wondering if we should
travel overseas for treatment?

I am furiously searching the internet for information and help as we don't know much about cancer.

Any help or advice much appreciated!

I dont think I can be of much help. Sorry you and your family are going through this battle. It is rough ! All I can say that at UPMC in pgh they are doing alot of innovative techniques and they are considered one of the best here in PGH PA. If it wasnt for Dr Geller and his associates I dont think my mom would be here today-shes been battling colon cancer then liver cancer and so far since a liver operation to remove part and oblate other small starters she is clear of liver cancer for the time being if you read my thread mom survived liver surgery-you'll see the course nwe have taken so far- Look up UPMC PGH liver cancer site and listen to the video of new techniques. good luck with your search. If your not satidfied with treatments or doctors there and can afford it-I say what have you got to lose by going eleswhere. thoughts and prayers for you and yours
