Hi all,

My mum recently (3 days ago) has been diagnosed with stomach cancer which has now spread to her liver, (stage II?) Already she is in pain, her back for example and it hurts for her to eat certain foods. The surgeon said that he would not operate as it is too far gone and that if he was my mum he wouldn't go ahead with Chemo. She will be meeting the oncologist in 2 weeks for pain control. She is taking very strong pain killers at the moment that her GP issued.

I know this might sound like a stupid question (Like how long is a piece of string?) but would anybody know or have a rough idea of my mums life expectancy with a cancer of this nature?

Any feedback would be appreciated.
