I guess you all know my case, if not previous post will help clear the situation dad is going thru. Doctor prescribed a new hormone called Bilumide to help dad after radiation, so it wouldnt all be left to luck. She said that they have tested this hormone to quite a few people and it actually helped most of them.

As for an update to radiation and all that.. well... it appears that radiation relieved my dad from much of the pain, but he will never be able to walk again. He hasnt walked for 4 months now, and unless a miracle happens, last 1-2 months of his life he will be in bed.
Anyways, i hope the Bilumide pills will help a bit, escpecially with his anorexia that has come back the last 2 weeks. He still eats a respectable amount of food but not enough to help him maintain his weight.
Anyways.. i will try to keep this post updated. PSA was measured at 1440 after the radiation, this means we had a drop of 400. We are probably gonna get radioisotopes injected in him too, now that hematocrit is up again, aproximately at 33.

Hope you guys are all doing ok.
Sophia

Hi,

I am sorry to hear about your Dad. My Dad is battling his advanced prostate cancer too. It just breaks your heart, doesn't it?

You are obviously a very good daughter, and it is really hard to watch someone you love so much have this monster attacking from within. All you can do is be there with him as much as you can, and give as much moral support as you can, and tell him you love him.

Go gently on yourself, and enjoy the tender moments you can still share with him. This is what I am trying to do also.

You are not alone.

Big hugs,

Pam x
