Thank you! I just found out her next scan isnt untill sept 11th. but right now she has a toothache(geeze cut her a break!) she made dinner today but shes depressed again..she keeps wondering when she will ever be herself again.(not trying to sound all negative..but I dont think things will ever be the same-her strength or her thoughts and I can bet she will always get exhausted...) of course I dont say this to her much I just told her the chemo is still working out of her body and sometimes it takes a very long time. the thing is every time she starts to feel better a scan shows a problem and the chemo or radiation or surgury starts all over again before she fully gains her total strength back.. Im not wrong am I???we sooo try to be positive but for some reason when moms down we all are mentally drained anyway. But I know thats probably a normal human reaction that cant possibly be avoided . love hurts. We were in shock from the first diagnosis over 3 years ago and I believe as soon as our thinking and lives start to show signs of normality we all get a reminder jolt again. I wish only good thoughts for all who is reading this as we muddle through the rough tmes with the support of family and friends..and forum |

well update-mom got her tooth taken care of today , and may possibly go on a week vacation with my brother to South Carolina-she doesnt but does want to go. so she may push herself.
when (if she goes) she comes home she has to make an appt for bloodwork then get a scan( This is wearing on her nerves) 80% of the time something rears its ugly head. and to top off her stress the neighbor age 67 across the street died of cancer..and we just found out she was battling it for 6 years. mom had to look out the door as the body bag was carried out! This is moms 4th going on 5 years(altho everyone is different) the thought doesnt help ones stress.
unbelievable... so our family has been doing lots of praying for a good (will settle for not so bad outcome) Ill post after the scan on this.-If it wasnt for the stress of the scan she seems to be doing ok(still gets tired easily tho. and chemo is still surfacing as in fingertips, leg cramps.sometimes burning urination etc just not near as bad. and when that happens her bowels are loose and accidents happen-like the chemicals eat through her bag barrier. (another reason she doesnt want to go on vacation) but my brother and sisterinlaw are driving down-that will be better for mom.
I hope she decides to go-would be good for her and my brother to spend special times together. ) and If she never has a chance to go again I wouldnt want her to regret it. till next update -thoughts and prayers to all |

mom saw the oncologist today-were not too happy her blood work showed anemia
he wants her to go get a pint of blood tomorrow-he took her off her warfarin.
He said he wants to know why she is either losing blood or not producing enough-fri he wants her to have a PET scan, then monday a colonoscopy.
shes pretty bent about the whole thing-we all are.
Shes scared and depressed again- I so hope the anemia is not cancer in the colon again. Ill keep in touch-thanks for reading this. |
