My mom was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. She is fairly in the dark about what's going on, which is unusual for her, but she told me her doctor told her that she was at stage 3.7. I've looked to see what this means, but all I find is stages 3 a, b and c. Any ideas?
Thanks very much

Stage 3 means that the cancer cells are found in the nymph nodes, and 7 "may" mean that the 7 nymph nodes have cancer cells out of, say 15, nymph nodes that the surgeon took out to test for cancer cells.

Stage 3 cancer patients generally require surgery, chemo and radiation, and survival rate for 5 yrs is about 60%.
